SpillSmart Drain Warden with Gutter Guard is a highly effective curb side storm water drain filter. Water runoff from road surfaces, poses a risk of pollutants entering our waterways. Vehicles, machinery, roadworks and water runoff from property’s are all potential sources.
The Drain Warden installs internally into the stormwater outlet with the benefit of being unobtrusive for vehicles and pedestrian traffic. Water entering the drain passes through a geotextile filter combined with a highly absorbent hydrophobic polypropylene sock. Whilst silt, trash and debris are captured in the filter, hydrocarbons, oils and fuels are absorbed in the suspended sock. The Gutter Guard attached to the Drain Warden, blocks excess water from the drains curb side opening preventing further debris from entering. In situations of excessive waterfall, the Drain Warden built in overflow feature prevents water backing up.
