When a spill happens in the field, there’s usually:
- no supervisor immediately available
- no easy access to a storeroom
- no time to “go find the right equipment”
There’s only what’s on the vehicle — or within arm’s reach.
That’s why mobile spill readiness isn’t about compliance paperwork.
It’s about practicality.
Field-based work introduces risks that fixed sites don’t:
- Vehicles carry fuels, oils, coolants and chemicals
- Refuelling often happens outdoors
- Work takes place near drains, soil, waterways
- Equipment is exposed to vibration and weather
A small hydraulic leak in a workshop is inconvenient.
The same leak on a roadside or near a drain can escalate quickly.
