SpillSmart K-Sorb is an oleophilic (absorbs oil-based liquids) hydrophobic (resists water) cellulose absorbent. It is a great organic alternative to polypropylene absorbents for absorbing hydrocarbons, oils and greases on land and on water. The hydrophobic fibre stabilises oil-based sludge separating free oils from water and can be used to remove contaminants in ponds, creeks, lagoons and marinas.

On land, K-Sorb Hydrophobic high capillary wicking action instantly draws in hydrocarbons encapsulating them into its hollow fibres allowing for a fast clean-up before the spill spreads. It is for this reason, being biodegradable and its ability to not leach liquids back into the environment that disposal to landfill may be possible subject to local regulations and guidelines.

SpillSmart Drive Over Floor Bunding is designed for containment of accidental spills where non-aggressive liquids are being stored. Its constructed with a Han welded Heavy Duty PVC cover, sealing, an internal 100% memory foam insert inside. This provides easy access for trucks and forklifts whilst retaining its shape. By combining corner pieces with standard 5m or ‘made to measure’ lengths, this product is easy to customise to meet specific bunding requirements.

Installation is simple. The Bund is secured to the floor with an adhesive glue. For heavy-duty applications flat bar is recommended with dyna bolts drilled every 500mm.

The 4 Drum Inline Bunded Pallet Set is sometimes referred to as a Bund Accumulation Centre. Each Bunded Spill Pallet is 1320mm x 680mm with a low profile of just 300mm. The two Pallet Bunds are secured into place with 8mm bolts end to end, with a Bridging Hose connecting into both Bund Sumps via two 32mm Nyglass Elbows. With the Bund Sumps now joined together the total capacity is now increased to 240L.

This Bunded Spill Pallet system ensures the Bridging Hose is fitted without protruding past the external width of the bund. This eliminates the risk of the hose becoming a trip hazard and allowing the Spill Pallet Bunds to be safely placed against a wall on either side. SpillSmart Bund Plug Kit is a practical D.I.Y. solution for simply draining unwanted liquid from your PVC Bund and resealing it tight again. Containment Booms can also be known as Oil Spill Booms, Floating Barriers, Baffles and Oil & Fuel Booms. These floating devices are designed to control, contain or deflect floating liquid spills and debris on water. These temporary barriers play an important role to contain spills and debris to reduce the impact to nearby aquatic systems, the shoreline and facilitate an effective evacuation of the pollution.

The float chamber sitting above the waterline is called the freeboard. The small skirt below the water surface is the draft and is weighted down with a chain ballast. Containment Booms are available in Type 1, 2, and 3 depending on the application. The floatation and ballast are also dependent on the intended use of the Containment Boom.

Envirosmart Weed Booms effectively control the migration of surface-dwelling weeds by creating a temporary or long term barrier in the water. Once contained the contaminates can then be easily removed or treated. This boom is designed with 610GSM UV stabilised yellow PVC, an HDPE mesh skirt suitable for picking up small particles, with a 6mm – 8mm galvanised chain ballast.

Manufactured from high strength, durable, UV stabilised PVC, these booms incorporate an installed inlet / outlet fitting for filling and emptying of the boom. The boom is filled with water and can be placed around various storm water inlets or across open drains to reduce or redirect water flow or contain a spill. Corner Connectors and Joiners are also available to create continuous lengths and optimal bunding solutions.

The SpillSmart Portable Oil and Water Separator acts as a disposable filter allowing untreated wastewater to pass through the filter bag whilst capturing sediment and hydrocarbons. These filter bags are filled with High quality shredded Oil Only, Melt Blown Polypropylene that successfully soaks up most of the oil passing through, before arriving to the 270gsm Geotextile outer lining.

They are utilised in a host of dewatering activities on mining, construction and industrial sites, after rain events and in water collection points that may be contaminated with hydrocarbons. Put simply, they are a very cost-effective device that controls the amount of sediment and hydrocarbons leaving the site.

Installing the SpillSmart Portable Oil and Water Separator is simple. Place the untreated wastewater hose in the inlet opening of the filter bag. Just ensure the hose is fed through the entire neck so the wastewater discharge takes place right inside the filter bag. Secure the hose with a hose clamp or zip-tie to prevent unfiltered water from flowing out of the unit and it is ready to go!

The SpillSmart OWS Filter Bag Wand has been designed to increase performance whilst conducting dewatering activities through the filter bag. It achieves this by the even dispersal of wastewater through a perforated outlet around the Wand attachment. This maximises the outlet’s effectiveness for wastewater passing through the filter bag, whist capturing hydrocarbons and sediment resulting in efficient and effective filtration results.

The wand attachment is 1300mm long with a 50mm diameter. It features a female/male camlock and 50mm Ball Shutoff Valve making Filter Bag changes a lot easier whilst assisting to prevent untreated water from escaping into the environment. This popular device is suitable for larger size portable Oil & Water Separator Filter Bags as the Wand requires to be inserted at least 650mm into the filter bag for correct fitment.

SpillSmart provides a simple solution for evacuating unwanted fluids from Spill Bunds, Collapsible Bunds and Rigid Bunds. It is by means of a portable 12 volt pumping system. The pump can operate efficiently within the bund or with the purchase of an accessories kit, externally with SpillSmart Collapsible and Rigid Bunds. The accessories kit includes a skin fitting for the bund, fittings and hose to connect to the pump box inlet.

The system runs automatically and features an automatic stop / start paddle float switch. This float switch has the capability to perform in water levels less than 60mm. Three multi size upper inlet ports provide options for different height bunds and also a safeguard if the bottom inlet was to get blocked. These upper inlets can provide a means for water to bypass easily. The system also prevents back siphoning with a compact one way check valve and a removable filter screen to trap debris, all packaged under clear clip down water tight cover.

The SpillSmart 240V Bund Sucker is a premium quality residue dewatering pump, ideal for evacuating unwanted liquid from Spill Bunds, Collapsible Bunds and Rigid Bunds. It is also suitable for complete drainage on flat surfaces such as rooftops, parking stations, utility pits, basements plant maintenance and pools.

It’s unique design allows the pump to drain water down to a minimum water level of just 1mm with its low water drain mechanism. A feature that also prevents the reverse flow of water once sucked in utilising a proprietary valve seat and specially developed swing valve. The flow-through design achieves an efficient cooling effect at low water levels and features a top discharge port providing ease of use in many applications. An option to discharge in a horizontal direction can be achieved with the pumps multi-directional hose coupling. Notched bolt holes enable the coupling to be removed by simply loosening the cap nuts. A rubber lined base plate completes this products highlights keeping your bund protected from scratching.
