SpillSmart Silt Warden has been designed for industrial and construction work sites. It’s highly effective in preventing drains from becoming congested. This heavy-duty drain filter is installed easily and fits securely under the drain grate. Sitting suspended, the filter captures, sand, dirt, sediment, rubbish, worksite debris, leaves and sticks whilst water passes through with ease.

SpillSmart Silt Socks have been designed to reduce silt and sediment loss by being placed around stormwater inlets and drains on work sites. They are extremely effective with retaining sediment whilst allowing water to pass through, ultimately protecting our waterways.

SpillSmart Silt Socks are constructed with 270gsm, non-woven, UV-protected Geo fabric and supplied with an open end for filling the sock. On the opposite end, they are industrially stitched for strength and durability. Being dispatched unfilled, they are exceptionally economical to freight and are filled on-site with sand or gravel by the end user. A range of sizes are available, including our custom, ‘made to measure’ service. 4meter and 50m sizes are available with a Hi. Vis. Stripe option that is stitched to the length of the sock.

SpillSmart Green Poly Silt Socks form part of erosion and sediment control compliance on work and construction sites. These are a premium product manufactured from high strength, high durability, woven geotextile with extremely high flow properties. This is a purpose-built sock sealed on one end with a tie-off on the other. Dispatched empty and filled with sand or gravel on site, these silt socks are effective when placed around site stormwater inlets or across open drains to slow the velocity of flowing water runoff and retain suspended sediment. By minimising or preventing the amount of silt and sediment loss on site reaching stormwater inlets, aquatic systems and waterways may be protected.

SpillSmart Green Poly Silt Socks are often purchased with SpillSmart Silt Fence Rolls and together assist government requirements for erosion and sediment control on construction sites.

SpillSmart Silt Coil is an erosion control and silt management device designed for slopes, stormwater trenches, gullies and highway ditches. Its tubular fabric reduces the rapidity of water whilst capturing sediment, preventing harsh downstream erosion. Anchoring skirts secure the berm in place, whilst a spiral spring retains its cylindrical framework.

SpillSmart Silt Coils are convenient to transport and simple to deploy. Despatched compressed to site, quick-release buckles deploy the Silt Coil in seconds. The same buckles also join additional Coils to meet a required length. They can be washed, decompressed, stored and redeployed multiple times.

SpillSmart Dewatering and Sediment Filter Bags are designed to contain sediments and heavy particles when silt laden water is to be pumped from an excavation site. This is a simple and cost effective way of controlling the amount of sediment or pollution leaving the site.

They are manufactured from a non-woven geotextile fabric that is needle punched to allow water to easily pass through whilst retaining stilt and other solids. There is a range of standard sizes to suit requirements of particular projects. Custom sizes can be made upon request (please consult with our technical sales team on the best solution for specific projects).

Our standard size Filter Bag is designed to handle a discharge hose that is (100mm) in diameter. These filter Bags most commonly feature a hose inlet (fill port) where you can insert the hose. Once the hose is in place, clamp the fabric to the hose via wire, ties, clamps, ropes or similar on-hand materials.

SpillSmart Type 1 Silt Curtains are designed for calm, sheltered waterways where current and wave activity are minimal. Ideal for ponds, dams, marinas, creeks and protected waterways, these lightweight curtains provide an economical solution for controlling sediment during smaller construction or maintenance projects.

Each curtain features a buoyant flotation chamber that keeps the barrier visible and stable at the surface, while a durable geotextile skirt extends downward to contain suspended sediment within the work area. A ballast chain maintains vertical positioning, and modular connectors allow multiple sections to be joined together quickly.

Type 1 curtains are easy to transport, deploy and retrieve, making them perfect for short-term environmental protection works.

SpillSmart Type 2 Silt Curtains are engineered for waterways with moderate current, tidal movement or wave exposure. They are commonly used in estuaries, tidal rivers and semi-protected coastal environments where stronger containment systems are required.

Compared with lighter systems, Type 2 curtains feature increased flotation capacity, reinforced skirt materials and a heavier ballast system to maintain stability in more active water conditions. Heavy-duty connection hardware allows sections to be securely linked for larger containment zones.

These curtains are well suited to medium-scale marine construction projects such as bridge works, jetty installations, marina extensions and dredging in tidal environments, delivering reliable sediment control while helping contractors meet environmental compliance requirements.

SpillSmart Type 2 PLUS Silt Curtains are designed for challenging environments where strong currents, tidal movement or exposed coastal conditions demand higher performance sediment control systems.

These curtains incorporate heavy-duty flotation systems, high-strength geotextile skirts and reinforced stress points to improve durability and operational stability. A substantial ballast system helps maintain the curtain’s vertical profile even in demanding water conditions, ensuring effective sediment containment.

Type 2 PLUS systems are typically used in ports, shipping channels, open coastal developments and large infrastructure projects where environmental protection is critical. Their robust design makes them ideal for major dredging programs, coastal engineering works and long-duration marine construction activities.

SpillSmart Type 3 Silt Curtains are fully custom-engineered systems developed for complex sites where standard curtain designs may not provide adequate performance. These solutions are tailored to suit unique project conditions such as variable water depths, irregular shorelines, tapered seabeds or long-term installations.

Custom configurations may include tapered skirt designs, deeper curtain sections, enhanced flotation systems and specialised anchoring arrangements to suit specific environmental forces. Connection systems and flotation colours can also be adapted to meet project requirements.

Type 3 curtains are developed in collaboration with engineers, project managers and environmental consultants to ensure the final system delivers effective sediment containment while meeting regulatory and operational requirements.

FloodSmart Flood Pillows give the opportunity for businesses and homeowners to be prepared and ready to respond quickly and easily in a flood emergency. Flood preparation and flood response has always traditionally revolved around the use of sandbags to protect properties from water damage. Sandbagging is an incredibly labour-intensive process. Even sourcing and transporting the sand in a crisis to then manually fill the bags is an arduous process.

The FloodSmart Flood Pillow performs like a sandbag or similar products, without the sand. Made from a sturdy Geotextile fabric, the Flood Pillow contains a highly absorbent polymer that activates when exposed to fresh water. When fully activated, they may be stacked as you would sandbags to create a highly effective barrier to block or divert nuisance water. Alternatively, they may be used to absorb water from roof leaks, leaking appliances such as washing machines, freezers and dishwashers and in many other circumstances where water is seeping or getting away. They are incredibly easy to transport and store. Flood Pillows can be activated using the flood water (*not suitable for saltwater flooding), by hose or by soaking in a temporary bund, wading pool or even a bath. They are available in packs of 5, a carton of 50 or by the pallet.
