Different spills. Different absorbents. |
A workshop oil spill, a fuel spill on a roadway and a hazardous chemical spill require different considerations. Choosing the right loose absorbent starts with knowing what has spilled, where it has spilled and whether specialist treatment is required. Envirosmart’s range includes everyday floor sweeps, oil-only absorbents, inert mineral products and specialist neutralisers—helping you match your customers with the right solution.
NOTE: Before commencing any spill cleanup, consult the spilt product's SDS and ensure you are wearing the correct PPE. |
Everyday workshop spills? Choose FloorSweep. |
SpillSmart FloorSweep is a lightweight, organic cellulose absorbent for oils, fuels and a wide range of non-aggressive liquids. Its rapid absorption and easy application make it a practical choice for workshops, maintenance areas and general workplace clean-up. |
Cleaning up paved areas? Consider RoadSpill. |
SpillSmart RoadSpill combines absorbent cellulose with mineral grit to help leave paved surfaces dry and reduce slippage. Consider it for compatible spills on roads, driveways and other paved work areas where surface traction matters. |
Absorbing oil while resisting water? Choose K-Sorb. |
SpillSmart K-Sorb absorbs oils and hydrocarbons while repelling water. Designed for use on land or water, it is useful where surrounding moisture would otherwise use up the capacity of a general-purpose absorbent. |
Hazardous chemicals? Check the compatibility first. |
SpillSmart HazSorb is an inert, vermiculite-based absorbent designed for hazardous chemical spills. It provides an alternative where cellulose absorbents may be unsuitable. All Purpose Absorbent offers another mineral-based option for a broad range of liquids, including oils, fuels and compatible hazardous chemicals. Always check the spilled chemical’s Safety Data Sheet before selecting either product. |

Need neutralisation as well as absorption? |
SpillSmart AcidSorb and BaseSorb are specialist products for compatible acid and alkaline spills respectively. They absorb, encapsulate and neutralise the liquid, with a colour-changing indicator to help monitor the neutralisation process. These products have specific exclusions—check the product instructions and chemical SDS before use. |

Three questions to help your customers choose |
• What liquid could spill? • Will the clean-up be on a dry surface, a paved area or around water? • Is absorption enough, or is a compatible neutraliser required? Explore the range online or use our Absorbent Selector to narrow down the options. For help matching a product to your customers’ requirements, contact the Envirosmart team on 1300 302 428. |
