SILT WARDEN

SpillSmart Silt Warden has been designed for industrial and construction work sites. It’s highly effective with preventing drains from becoming congested. This heavy-duty drain filter is installed easily and fits securely under the drain grate. Sitting suspended, the filter captures, sand, dirt, sediment, rubbish, worksite debris, leaves and sticks whilst water passes through with ease.

GEOTEXTILE SILT SOCKS

SpillSmart Silt Socks have been designed to reduce silt and sediment loss by being placed around stormwater inlets and drains on work sites. They are extremely effective with retaining sediment whilst allowing water to pass through, ultimately protecting our waterways.

SpillSmart Silt Socks are constructed with 270gsm, non-woven, UV protected Geo fabric and supplied with an open end for filling the sock. On the opposite end, they are industrially stitched for strength and durability. Being dispatched flat they are exceptionally economical to freight and can easily be filled with sand or gravel on site. A range of sizes are available including our custom, ‘made to measure’ service. 4meter and 50m sizes are available with a Hi. Vis. Stripe option that is stitched to the length of the sock.

SILT FENCE

With the ever-increasing need for construction companies to safeguard the environment from erosion and/or silt problems created through construction sites, custom pollution prevention controls are required. SpillSmart’s Silt Fence is designed to prevent sediment runoff. Silt Fences are suitable for use during the course of construction and earthworks. The Silt Fence is suitable for both civil and domestic projects.

SILT COIL

SpillSmart Silt Coil is an erosion control and silt management device designed for slopes, stormwater trenches, gully’s and highway ditches. Its tubular fabric reduces the rapidity of water whilst capturing sediment, preventing harsh downstream erosion. Anchoring skirts secure the berm in place, whilst a spiral spring retains its cylindrical framework.

SpillSmart Silt Coils are convenient to transport and simple to deploy. Despatched compressed to site, quick release buckles deploy the Silt Coil in seconds. The same buckles also join additional Coils to meet a required length. They can be washed, decompressed, stored and redeployed multiple times.

SpillSmart Dewatering and Sediment Filter Bags are designed to contain sediments and heavy particles when silt laden water is to be pumped from an excavation site. This is a simple and cost effective way of controlling the amount of sediment or pollution leaving the site.

They are manufactured from a non-woven geotextile fabric that is needle punched to allow water to easily pass through whilst retaining stilt and other solids. There is a range of standard sizes to suit requirements of particular projects. Custom sizes can be made upon request (please consult with our technical sales team on the best solution for specific projects).

Our standard size Filter Bag is designed to handle a discharge hose that is (100mm) in diameter. These filter Bags most commonly feature a hose inlet (fill port) where you can insert the hose. Once the hose is in place, clamp the fabric to the hose via wire, ties, clamps, ropes or similar on-hand materials.

Usage:

SpillSmart Dewatering and Sediment Filter Bags are rugged, but not indestructible. Be careful to properly monitor performance to ensure that pump rates or concentrations of sediment are not excessive. Failure to do so may cause the filter bag to fail. Avoid multiple pipe discharges into a single bag. One bag per discharge is recommended unless specifically designed for custom utilisation.
