SpillSmart Storm Water Containment products have been designed to compliment the SpillSmart Absorbent & SpillSmart Containment range to provide a total spill control system.

A guaranteed solution to ensuring that no accidental spills enter drains, grates or manholes is to protect these areas with a SpillSmart Drain Seal. Easy to use in emergencies, just place the SpillSmart Drain Seal directly over the drain. Flexible, resists water, oil and most aggressive chemicals. The SpillSmart Drain Seal can be cleaned & re-used for added economy.

SpillSmart Drain Filters

Storm water pollution has become a major concern both locally and on a national level. The SpillSmart Drain Filter has been designed to safeguard the storm water by capturing contaminates before they enter the water system.

The SpillSmart Drain Filter’s unique design uses a polypropylene fabric and organic absorbent sock to capture contaminates whilst still allowing the water to pass through. Held in place by the metal grate, it effectively removes coarse sediments, oil, grease, litter and debris from storm water.

The SpillSmart Drain Filter is an effective solution for parking lots, vehicle storage / service areas, construction sites and industrial plants, where oil and grease from cars and trucks left on the surface is easily carried into the storm water drains. The SpillSmart Drain Filter is also effective as a guard in case of emergency spills, capturing spills whilst allowing emergency spill response teams to activate. The SpillSmart Drain Filter is available in various sizes to suit most storm water catch basins or custom sized SpillSmart Drain Filters can be made to suit your application.

SpillSmart Filter Bags & Socks

SpillSmart have developed two types of filter bags & socks. The first is to reduce the amount of suspended solids being released from a fixed pipe source. Fluid moves through a dishcarge pipe and must pass through the spillSmart sock or bag at the end of the pipe. The material allows the water to pass through but not the majority of teh suspended solids, capturing them and allowing them to be collected and disposed.

Similarly we manufacture to order Filter bags from Geotextile Poly which again allows the water to pass through but retains the majority of suspended solids and hydrocarbons (oils). This acts like a disposable or portable oil/water separator. So as to get the longest life from these filter bags, they are filled with same oil-only polypropylene we use in our poly booms which will soak up most of the oil first before the outer lining of the bag.

Our Containment Booms are designed to contain oil, fuel and other water borne pollutants in temporary or permanent situations.

SpillSmart Containment Booms are suitable for use in sheltered and inland waters. They are fast to assemble and deploy, tough and abrasion resistant as well as easy to maintain and clean.

SpillSmart Containment Booms can be manufactured in PVC, Polyurethane or Siemens XR5 to suit a range of environments and applications.
