SpillSmart Containment Products Pads :: Pillows :: Socks :: Booms :: Matting :: Bags SpillSmart containment products have been designed to compliment the SpillSmart Absorbent range to provide a total spill control system. SpillSmart pillows, socks and booms all contain materials that are fully biodegradable. The covers for each product are made from natural cotton products. In addition within the filler there are microbes present that are capable of bioremediating (eating) hydrocarbons such as, oil, fuel and grease. SpillSmart Pillows, Pads, Socks and Booms cater for many emergencies, assisting to contain any liquid spill so that a proper clean-up can be undertaken after the initial spill is safely & responsibly contained.
Use our (hydrophobic) oil only sorbents in both polypropylene and our all cotton alternative if you need to recover only petroleum-based liquids on land or water. To recover petroleum-based liquids, water-based liquids, or virtually any liquid that you may encounter when it's not easily identifiable, use our yellow Hazchem sorbent pads which will absorb virtually all liquids at a high absorption rate. Hazchem pads can also be used for general maintenance and also for wiping down machinery and equipment. All three of these products come in both pad and roll form.

These absorbent pillows are excellent for absorbing spills and leaking fluids in tight spaces. Our Oil Only absorbent pillows are great for waste troughs, coolant tanks, fluid reservoirs and sump wells. Universal pillows are for absorption of oil, water, and chemicals.

Double Skinned – This product has an inner casing made from spun bonded poly and filled with poly particulate. On the outside is a tough outer mesh for added strength plus a nylon rope inside the mesh which holds the clips and end rings, again providing extra strength. Single Skinned – This product is made from very tough shade cloth and filled with poly particulate. Because of its strength and durability, it doesn’t require a rope through the product and therefore has eyelets and clips to allow them to be joined. Features:

The heaviest, thickest and most absorbent barrier mat available. It’s unique 3-ply construction includes an oil only polypropylene core, surrounded by an impenetrable barrier film that prevents absorbed liquids from leaching out. Also has a UV resistant material over. Originally designed for use between and outside railroad tracks, it is also widely used by transportation companies, utilities, refineries, steel mills, and in other environments in which a high absorbency barrier is required.
