All Purpose Absorbent is the cost-effective quick acting and natural way to convert potentially harmful liquid pollutants into solids for easy disposal.

Australian developed and made from New Zealand raw materials, All Purpose Absorbent passes stringent international liquid release standards.

An inert mineral-based absorbent, its large surface area enables it to rapidly absorb liquids, and can safely be used on strong acid or alkaline solutions, as well as petroleum and hydrocarbons, oils, solvents, sewage, protein-based fluids and other messy liquids likely to contaminate the work area and environment.

FLOORSWEEP

SpillSmart FloorSweep is manufactured from a special selection of Australian grown organic cellulose products. These naturally occurring fibrous materials are blended and processed to produce a range of absorbents that quickly absorb a wide variety of liquids including petroleum, oils, fuels, solvents, cooking oils, sewage, protein fluids and other messy liquids that could pollute or contaminate the work area and the environment. SpillSmart FloorSweep Absorbent should not be used on strong acid or alkaline solutions.

Because of it’s strong ‘wicking effect’ SpillSmart FloorSweep Absorbent is able to rapidly encapsulated liquids so that they cannot leach back into the environment. All SpillSmart absorbents have been tested for and pass stringent international liquid release standards. In many regions, SpillSmart Absorbents can be disposed of to landfill, however this is subject to local regulations.

HAZSORB

Many existing laboratory spill plans and MSDS Sheets call for the use of an inert absorbent such as Vermiculite and often specify Vermiculite.

SpillSmart HazSorb is a vermiculite product designed to be used in Hazchem spills. SpillSmart HazSorb is a cost-effective, non-toxic, inert alternative to cellulose (reactive to many chemicals) and more effective, more easily manageable absorbent than your typical ‘Adsorbents’ like kitty litter and zeolites.

SpillSmart HazSorb can also be used on body fluid spill and typical hydrocarbon spills on land.

ROADSPILL

KSORB

SpillSmart K-Sorb is an oleophilic (absorbs oil-based liquids) hydrophobic (resists water) cellulose absorbent. It is a great organic alternative to polypropylene absorbents for absorbing hydrocarbons, oils and greases on land and on water. The hydrophobic fibre stabilises oil-based sludge separating free oils from water and can be used to remove contaminants in ponds, creeks, lagoons and marinas.

On land, K-Sorb Hydrophobics high capillary wicking action instantly draws in hydrocarbons encapsulating them into its hollow fibres allowing for a fast clean-up before the spill spreads. It is for this reason, being biodegradable and its ability to not leach liquids back into the environment that disposal to land fill may be possible subject to local regulations and guidelines.

SpillSmart AcidSorb is a spill control product designed to rapidly absorb, encapsulate and neutralise liquid base spills.

This effective product contains a neutraliser and pH colour indicator combined with a highly absorbent polymer, to safely clean up a spill preventing workplace injuries. AcidSorbs unique formula interacts with the spilled chemical, converting the liquid into a gelled mass. Once transformed the chemical spill can be safely removed, cleaned up and disposed in accordance with local regulations.

How SpillSmart AcidSorb Works

• Sprinkle SpillSmart AcidSorb on the spill starting from the outside and working in.
  Once applied to the spill, colour change transformations will indicate that neutralisation is taking place.
• Allow for the powder to encapsulate and neutralise the spill. AcidSorb indicates: Red as Highly Acidic. Yellow as Slightly Acidic and Purple as Neutral.
• Once complete, the spill will convert to a gelled formation, now safe for easy removal. Dispose the spill in accordance with local regulations.

Caution: Use in a well ventilated area. Some heat and gas emissions may be present during neutralisation. Not recommended for Hydrofluoric Acid. Avoid contact with 2, 4, 6 Trinitrotoluene, & Fluorine. Contact with food products containing sugars may form carbon monoxide gas.

How SpillSmart BaseSorb Works

• Allow for the powder to encapsulate and neutralise the spill. Blue indicates Highly Caustic. Orange Indicates Neutral.

Caution: Appropriate P.P.E. must be worn. Use in a well ventilated area. Some heat and gas emissions may be present during neutralisation. Not recommended for Metallic Nitrates, Cyanides, Sulphides and strong oxidizers. Contact with Sodium or Calcium Hypochlorite creates chlorine gas.
